What: Four Peaks Elementary School is doing a book study on Differentiating Instruction with Technology in K-5 Classrooms.

Why:

  • FPES focus on rigor, relevance, and relationships through PBL, 21st century learning, individualized instruction, and one-to-one.

  • If the Activity Checklist measures Unit/Lesson Success, then our goals and staff development should support this.

How: Book Study facilitated by shared leadership from FPES teams.

  • Each team will facilitate our P.D. in the style of D.I.

  • We will reflect throughout and connect back to our Essential Question.

Goals:

  • Implement new strategies, ideas, technology in a collaborative environment. Create a "learning culture" at FPES.

  • Share successes from implementation, and reflect on improvements. -- This can be done during Collaboration Meetings, Staff Meetings, or informally whenever.

Essential Question: How do we, as educators, use technology as a tool to differentiate instruction for learner-centered 21st century classrooms?
